The Yoder Haus is a charming, 2-bedroom, former Old-Order Amish home filled with hardwood floors, lace, quilts, and accommodates 6 guests. We have added power, lighting, air conditioning and heating to this home. We are within a short walking distance to downtown Yoder's quilt shops, restaurants and gift shops. Demelia's Quilt Shop is just a few steps from our front door.

BEDROOMS: Two bedrooms are located on the main floor: The Lilac Room has 3 twin beds with north and west views of beautiful sunsets, lilac bushes and strawberry fields. The Rose Room also has 3 twin beds but with north and east views overlooking rose garden, strawberry, grape and blackberry fields. Vintage linens give these rooms that special homey feel and touch of long-ago days. Guests will find Amish homemade chocolates on their pillows from a nearby dairy farm.

CRAFT ROOM: Each guest has her own 6-foot worktable with the Sylvania Craft Light. The Sylvania Craft Light has a more even light output across the color spectrum, unlike the Ott light, which has "spikes" of higher light output at certain colors and create a more reddish light than the Sylvania Craft Light. We provide a large cutting table and pressing area with iron for quilters. For scrapbookers and card-makers, a worktable with a Cricut Expressions die cutter with a library of cartridges. Choose one of the many CD audiobooks in our library to listen to while you craft. Selection includes fiction and non-fiction stories related to pioneer women, Kansas interests and light romance. Or, feel free to bring your own. Giftbags stuffed with craft-related goodies at each table.

SCRAPBOOK STORE We do have a small on-site store for necessities like adhesives, cardstock, printed papers, stickers and page kits.

DINING ROOM: Our large antique oak dining table accomodates up to 8 guests. Meals, drinks and snacks are provided. Our overnight guests are treated to home-cooked Amish recipe meals prepared in the Yoder Haus kitchen. Catered meals are provided by Bull's Eye and Carriage Crossing for our day guests.

TEA ROOM: Snuggle up with a quilt in our Tea Room while you enjoy refreshments and fresh-baked snacks fresh from Yoder's Farmers Market and by Rose's Pastries. This room has a hoop quilting frame for hand-quilting. Browse through the quilting and scrapbooking magazines for inspiration and ideas. You will also find baskets full of varioius crafts, such as crocheting, knitting, embroidery, cross-stitch and needlepoint projects. You may find ongoing projects destined to be donated to the Mennonite Relief Sale, or purchase a project to keep for yourself. This room is the sunniest in the home and was used by the former owner as her quilting room.
